OXBO are supporting a leading boutique renewable energy planning consultancy with a strong track record in the Solar PV and BESS space projects across the UK, as well as Onshore Wind

The team is growing and is now looking for a Planning Director to head up their London office

This role requires office working 2-3 times a week in a hybrid arrangement

Responsibilities

• Business Development: Drive new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships, contributing to overall strategic growth.
• Project Oversight: Manage large and complex applications across all processes, maintaining strategic oversight on multiple large-scale projects led by Associate Directors and Associates. Support the wider team with technical and procedural guidance.
• Contract Management: Prepare and authorize fee proposals and manage contractual arrangements with clients, ensuring all instructions are aligned to maximize profitability.
• Team Leadership: Mentor a team of Associate Directors and Associates, overseeing their work, reviewing key deliverables, and guiding project decisions. Lead significant meetings and deliver impactful presentations.
• Project Management: Act as the project lead on major TCPA, DNS, and NSIP planning applications, managing all aspects of project execution. Delegate tasks effectively to team members, including Associate Directors, Associates, and Senior Planning Consultants, and execute responsibilities independently without supervision.

Experience Required

• 8+ years’ experience in Renewable Energy Planning
• Experience in business development
• MRTPI accredited
