They’re now building out a proprietary algorithmic trading business focused on the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency markets. Their core activities involve designing, developing, and deploying automated trading strategies across major exchanges with a focus on highly-liquid spot and derivatives instruments. We are building a technology-driven trading platform that emphasizes speed, reliability, and scalability.

They’re building a technology-driven trading platform from first principles. The platform must be reliable, secure, observable, and scalable. It will operate across multiple centralised exchanges and support 24/7 automated trading with robust risk controls and operational transparency.

This is a greenfield build.

Role Overview

They are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and implement the application and control layers surrounding our the C++ execution systems.

This role will focus on:

• Trading GUIs and internal dashboards
• Control plane services
• Risk and position visibility layers
• Secure API services
• Data services and configuration systems
• Early-stage tooling and operational interfaces

This is not a generic web role. The systems built in this role will directly control and observe automated trading activity. They must be secure, state-aware, and production-grade from inception.

You will work closely with:

• CTO (platform architecture)
• C++ trading engineers
• DevSecOps (AWS / Kubernetes)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal trading dashboards and control interfaces (React or equivalent)
• Develop secure backend services (RESTful APIs with explicit state management)
• Design and implement microservices that support automated trading systems
• Build position monitoring, kill-switch controls, and configuration layers
• Develop data services using relational databases (Postgres preferred) and appropriate NoSQL/time-series systems
• Collaborate with DevSecOps on Kubernetes (AWS EKS) deployments
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows (GitLab)
• Ensure systems fail safely and preserve capital under adverse conditions
• Design service boundaries that can evolve without architectural lock-in

Requirements

Core Engineering

• Strong experience building production backend systems (Go, Java, or Rust preferred; Python acceptable where appropriate)
• Strong frontend experience (React or equivalent modern framework)
• Experience designing robust RESTful APIs with explicit state and lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of secure application design and access control
• Experience designing systems that operate continuously (24/7)
• Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres strongly preferred)
• Experience with NoSQL or time-series data stores

Infrastructure & Platform

• Experience working in AWS environments
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Experience working with YAML / Helm configurations
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI preferred)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
