Summary
OXBO are working with a multi-billion dollar asset management firm operating across the USA, UK and UAE. The role supports the the front office business in a team consisting of software engineers, quants, and data scientists that provide business solutions for the cross-asset investment team.
The position will focus on software and systems development of post-trade platforms which includes trade management and processing, position and transaction life cycle events, asset servicing, valuations, settlements, and fund accounting. Â
The role is based in Stamford, CT and will work on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
- Create software applications supporting new feature enhancements delivering product roadmap requirements.Â
- Implement new QA application testing frameworks to improve application quality and security.Â
- Develop application framework components to create re-usable application delivery and development capabilities.Â
- Coordinate application reliability and observability enhancements with DevOps and application support teamsÂ
- InnovationÂ
- Participate and deliver implementations of Cloud-based application components and design migration strategies to Cloud native services and SaaS offerings.Â
- Identify and collaborate to develop best practices and tools for software development, code generation, and AI assisted programming techniques.Â
Experience Required
- Experience developing Middle and Back Office systems, including but not limited to trade life cycle events, corporate actions, accounting, reference data, affirmations, broker integration, security master or price master.Â
- Expertise in C# (.NET Core) Â
- Architecture experience developing multi-tiered applications running in a containerized operating environment, Docker/Kubernetes.Â
- Solid database experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Postgres, MongoDB, and other databases a plus)Â
- Experience with messaging platforms that leverage queues, channels, pub./sub. Using platforms such as Kafka, RMQ, Solace.Â
- Experience with distributed cache systems such as Redis, Hazelcast, Valkey, etc.Â
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Azure DevOps, QA unit testing frameworks, GitHub.Â
- Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements. Â
- Good communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Â
- Experience working in Agile environment to deliver iteratively, comfortable with context switching and supporting critical systems.Â
- Experience with industry standard enterprise systems a plus, such as Geneva, Orchestrade, VPM, Golden Source, Cosmos, Bloomberg, Markit, FlextradeÂ
- Experience with cloud large database platforms such as Snowflake, Data Bricks or Redshift a plus Â
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.Â
